I'd like to use the pictures frame thing where you can have it slideshow all your pictures, but is there any way to choose which pictures get into the slideshow?

I guess I am hijacking this thread, so I'll say I'm sorry up front.

I am still a noon to the Mac world (only had my iMac a couple months), and a real noon to the iPad world, so there is a lot I still don't know.

How do I set up albums on the iPad? Or do I have to do it in iTunes and then resync the iPad?

The word is noob.

Directories = albums for iTunes, unless you use iPhoto or Aperture.

You can select which directories (albums) you want to sync. Without iPhoto/Aperture there are no Events/Faces/Places, only Albums.

Now. Has anyone figured out how to not make "Faces" sync ALL pictures for a "Face"? I'd like to only sync the pictures in a Face that belong in the Albums/Events i'm syncing. IE: I'd like to sync my girlfriend's Face, but not also include all the naughty pictures of her. Anyone know? :)

??
on a Mac, create either Events or Albums in iPhoto.
these events and albums then show up in iTunes under the Photos tab, when you click on your connected iPad link.
just check the boxes besides which Events and Albums you want to sync to the iPad.

@ciran00

What a beautiful scenario: the inlaws visiting for the sunday tea, iPad beautifully displayed in everybodys sight playing a slideshow of the daughter when suddenly the "other" pictures show up in origami mode: err, another cup of tea might help....:D

Have to create another album and manually select the pictures you want to have displayed.
