I don’t want to beat a dead horse with all this and nor am I all that concerned. When I got my 11” pro, I naturally checked the chassis after reading about it for the last few years and yes, there is a slight bend to it

My iPad Air 4 I had a few months ago also showed this slight bend. it was returned for a different reason. But Being that both these iPads share this design and both had this bend, I assume this is fairly normal?

I don’t want to start playing the iPad lottery with all this, everythig else about mine is perfect, no backlight bleed, no imperfections etc. I can only even see it when I’m really trying to hold it up and look for it. If these threads weren’t so publicized, I would have never even noticed it.

I assume mines safe to keep, especially being the cellular model, it seems more likely then not, this will just be par for the course on this design. If it is, I’m fine with that

I personally have the 11 inch pro and I accidentally sat on it once and the screen cracked from bending inward. Don’t keep it bare inside of a backpack either between books FYI. Because that also is a sure way to have it bend. Apple decided to be cheap and use 6000 series aluminum and not 7000 series in these iPads and clearly never learned from their mistakes with bendgate; iPhones 6 and 6 plus which also had used 6000 series. Those phones all you had to do was sit down with it in your back pocket and they bent. And that was later rectified with 7000 series. So yes bending is a very real worry and has yet to be fixed. I would suggest getting the magic keyboard or some other case to add additional structural rigidity.

Are you sure the bend your perceiving isn’t from placing it on a flat surface and the camera bump is lifting it up slightly in a way that looks like a bend?

No this is holding it up and checking
Oh I probably should have read your post better. Hmm gosh dude idk. Ya I wonder how prevalent the bending issue is out of box. Hope more people post. Idk if its a placebo but I wonder whether ordering online or choosing to go to an apple store gets you a better guarantee. There is always how to unbend your iPad Pro videos online if you need it I guess in the end

Bending? Blooming? Neither of those things are major issues.

As far as I can tell just looking at it, my 2021 11" does not appear to have any bend. I keep mine in an Apple smart folio and am very careful with it. When it travels it well be in a Waterfield bag which I used with my 2018 11" which also had no obvious bend.

Honestly it might be worth it to see if you can get this rectified quickly. Especially if you intend on keeping it for a while and would need a battery replacement in the future . Apple sends you a different unit since they don’t manually replace the battery but my old 10.5 pro was rejected by Apple due to a bend . I had to ask a tech savvy friend to replace my battery
