I was having a iMessage conversation on my iPhone and then switched on my macbook and was greeted by a load of notification alerts showing the messages I had already received and read. These then had to be clicked on individually to remove, they didn't all disappear when clicking on the small x within the notification area box, this just removes them from within notifications, not the actual alert.

Any solution? I'm wondering if I have a long text chat with someone out and about am I going to come home to potentially 50+ alerts?

p.s. I know you can change the notification from alert to banner or none, but when I'm at home I want it to stay as an alert rather than disappearing and me potentially missing it until I click on the notification tray.

I had that happening to me once using the Beta. A reboot of the computer fixed it for me...

I'm finding that there are a lot of issues with the Messages.app. I'm surprised since it had a beta period unlike the other features. The read/unread is a big issue, it seems to happen when your computer is asleep during the conversation you are having on another device.

I've also experienced some "endless loop" login/disconnection issues with Jabber/Google Talk. And I think the buddy list is harder to get to than the beta version.

Frustrating, between Messages and Airplay Mirroring (which I discovered my macs are not supported) - these were the two features I was looking forward to most with ML...

Exactly. I was mad enough about those two problems that I imposed a no-Twitter policy on myself until this morning. I knew I needed time to calm down. :D
