I know you don't need those marketed as "premium" cables, but are there any brands/sellers I should avoid?

If you need them today and can get to a Fry's then with a bit of searching you can find $5 and less cables. They are in a bag, on the shelf, below the other HDMI cables. I believe the brand is Saxton. They have 6' and 10' lengths. I use them for TV & xBox.

Avoid everyone but Monoprice.

I have purchased a ton of Monoprice cables for work and home; they are great. HDMI cables are digital, don't pay more then a few bucks for one.
