I really thought Apple wasn't going to release this. This particular app was going to be my "canary in the mine" in telling me how locked down Apple was going to keep the iPhone. After squashing the GV apps, I was ready to dump the iPhone if they also sat on this release.

But I am happy to be wrong in this case.

As a jailbroken iPhone user.....I've been using Slingplayer 3G since it came out....Never had an issue with too much data usage.....And I use it A LOT!

Apple was never the hold up for 3G use, it was AT&T.
