Finally updated the slingbox up to version 2.0 and it's got a shiny new high quality mode that really showcases the higher res beautifully! Your slingbox will require a firmware update before you can connect with the new 2.0 update so get to updating and enjoy the better quality and new menu setup. It even has a new guide built in for easier channel navigation, this update is long overdue but worth the wait, kudos sling media!

hey- thanks for the heads up. quick question, does the slingbox firmware update required for this app end up requiring you to update the mac OS slingplayer app? I'm running the 1.x version now and don't want to have to move to the web based version.

hmm not sure, all i did was update my slingbox app on my iphone, then logged into slingbox.com and did a firmware update on my box itself, didn't update anything on the player as far as I know

but the update is fantastic and I'm really loving the new guide setup so I can see whats on w/o having to either pull up the guide on my tv or keep changing channels

okay- I just did the upgrade and all is well- both on my mac (i'm running slingplayer 1.0.10.272) and on my iphone and ipad.

The resolution on the iphone is a big step up. MNF, with all the action, looks very good.

btw- Running in HQ on the ipad in 2x mode does not look bad at all either.

I think if your slingbox is up to date then it'll work. I updated the app on my phone but didn't do anything to my slingbox and it worked perfectly.
