I will probably pick up a refurbished iPhone tonight (as soon as I choose 4 or 8 GB) and I was wondering if the Slingbox software would work on an iPhone. I don't have Slingbox, but being able to access a DVR from the iPhone would be a great deal.

nope it wont work its for windows mobile

I wish; it's my single most desired app for the iPhone. I assume as they sell more and more iPhones it'll become a better possibility, but I'm not holding my breath. This app alone would make an iPhone purchase worth the price.

This also my most desired iphone app. There is an OS X version, but in order to get it work on the iPhone, you'd have to make sure the video is using the h.264 codec. Also, no way in hell this would even remotely come close to working on edge; you'd have to use it over wifi. It would still be very nice though. I don't currently own a slingbox but would purchase one if I could use it with my iPhone.
