Slingplayer update out

Just tried it with my Pro-HD and the aspect ratio fix really helped! There are a few other control changes as well. On the positive side I saw a few buttons to directly access DVR functionality, bring up a keypad, etc. On the negative I seem to have lost gesture use to change channels. Maybe it's a setting that's now off by default but I haven't had a chance to poke around too much.
I get that too.
I tried various combinations of settigns in the display options, but I cannot get it widescreen, and filling the screen vertically.
I can either have it filling the screen vertically, and have it squashed at the sides, giving me black bars both sides.
Or, filling the screen horizontally, but squashed vertically, giving black bars top and bottom.
That's on my Slingbox Solo. Far from ideal
Hmmm...I have a Slingbox AV and had used VOiPover3G (or whatever it's called). I removed the app and then re-installed it on my iPhone (not through iTunes, but over 3G). Still no luck.
Maybe I'll try unrestrictor3G. Is that currently the best/easiest app to allow this?
It's the easiest but it does cost $2. I updated and it connected right away on 3G.
Also the swipe gestures still work they're just off by default.
Well, I did the uninstall and reisntall of SlingPlayer. No luck. Removed the VOiP3G program that I had and even then bought the 3Gunrestrictor. No luck.
Are there any other people out there having an problem since the Slingplayer update yesterday? Never had a problem till today.
This might seem obvious but did you add SlingPlayer to the list of unrestricted apps in Unrestrictor?
Yes. Even in between the uninstall and reinstall. I am still on 3.0 FW, do you think I need to be on 3.0.1 or something?
I don't see why that would make a difference but I am on 3.0.1. Do you have Skype or anything else that is restricted to wifi? If so, try unrestricting that in Unrestrictor and see if it works.
I probably have to reset the slingbox or something. I confirmed the iPhone 3Gunrestrictor works since when I disable it, I get the WiFi message instead of the can't connect message when enabled.
At my house, I have no issue watching my slingbox on another computer on the home network. Or even my iPhone when I tried it out last night, but on WiFi. Must the something with going through the internet.
