I have a 2021 MacBook Pro 14". On occasions (this morning being one of them) it seems like my finger tips slide ineffectually across the track pad with no cursor movement/function. Or I will get half way down a page then get stuck and have to try to grab the slider bar on the side of the screen. Can this be adjusted? I don't think my fingers are greasy, but do I need to go wash and dry them? This isn't a constant situation but every once in awhile it happens, frustrates me, then ceases. It gets annoying. Thanks!

I see the same inconsistency at times with the TouchID button on the new Magic Keyboards... I'm thinking that it's "that time of year"... the air is drier, and I notice that my fingertips are more "slick" when rubbed together... sometimes breathing on them and then wiping them on my jeans helps...

of course, I could be completely wrong (it's happened before).

Thanks! Have a feeling you are correct! I just discovered I am unconsciously wiping my hands on my jeans, too, and I believe it may be helping.

How to turn off track pad on MacBook Pro Ventura. Recently my mouse died in regards to "zooming". Hooked up a backup mouse that does regards to mouse that supports normal mouse inputs + zooming with USB input via a USB-C dongle. However, in this setup, I can't turn off the mouse pad which I prefer not to have operating. I've gone into setup and turned off any trackpad options.
