Hi everyone,

I'm a cradle Windows user who's more interested than ever in getting a Mac as my next computer. I'm an aspiring freelance writer, but because writers don't make much money, I've started to lay the groundwork for running an online business. Once I get some money coming in from that, I'm really looking at buying a laptop to replace my current desktop computer (even though it's a small form factor system less than 3 years old).

The fact that Macs can now run Windows natively is very exciting news because I'm a big gamer, and always loved old-school games from the 80s and 90s that only run on Windows, and one of my aspirations is even to design games as a career.

OK, enough of that. I currently have 2 copies of Windows XP. One is the SP1 CD that came with my current system, so I'll have to include that with it when I sell it. The other is a service pack-less, initial release CD I bought from my university's campus computing store just after XP was released. As a result, I'm not permitted to sell the disc or transfer the license. However, all the tutorials for slipstreaming a Boot Camp-compatible CD I've seen appear to assume the user is working with a SP1 CD. Is there a way to slipstream BOTH service packs onto a CD?

And this probably goes without saying, but I assume the license key supplied with the SP-less copy will work with the slipstreamed one?

Thanks,
Luke

Just so you know, Boot camp is still a beta version.
The full version will be included in Apple next OS Leopard. Which will be released in 2007. You also need an Intel Mac.
Im not sure what the deal with installing a service-packless XP.

Yeah.

Do you?

You can slipstream SP2 using the same instructions onto any pre SP2 release of XP. You might want to visit the "Windows on Mac" subforum for more help...
