Slow Boot with new SSD

Hi Guys,

Please excuse my ignorance here, but I recently bought a new SSD and installed it into my my 2009 mac mini (It has lion on it.) I also upgraded the RAM from 2 to 4 GB. Everything while running is now about 10times faster but the boot up time is actually slower. Am I missing something simple here.

How do i reset the PRAM? and i believe the SSD is the startup disk as it's the only disk in the computer.

Go into System Preferences, click on Startup Disk, then click on the only drive you see, and click restart.

sometimes people boot from bootable usb drives that they backed up from/to without noticing that they aren't actually booting from the new drive.

so always select the correct boot drive before getting out the stopwatch.
