Recently, I've gotten the newest iMac. To be specific, the 24-inch : 2.66GHz with 4GB of memory. I've also bought the AirPort Extreme Base Station which offers "perfect wireless access point for home, school, or small business. It offers fast, 802.11n Wi-Fi access for Mac computers." My problem is that for some reason, the interent is really really REALLY slow on my iMac and the connection often gets disconnected, but on my MacBook the internet is fine. Both my iMac and my MacBook are in my room, so they should equally have the same speed of internet right?

Check your DNS setting under System Prefrences/Network/Advanced/DNS

the DNS server should be 10.0.1.1 for the search domain contact your ISP to get the correct one.

I had this same problem and I did this and all of a sudden i had my blazing fast internet back!
