Hi experts,

I uninstalled LittleSnitch using the uninstaller.
I am unsure it worked successfully as half way thru, it asked me to check the log and then had me reboot my macbook.
I expected it to complete fully by itself with a message like " LittleSnitch Uninstall Successful".

Now when I log in after I reboot, it takes a much longer time.

Any advice appreciated.

When you had Little Snitch installed your account login was not slow?
  1. Try booting into safe mode, login to your account and then reboot to normal mode. Is your user account still slow to login.
  2. Try creating a new user account, reboot and see if the new user account is slow to login.

hello Taz:

I should have timed the original long log in.

1. i booted safe mode
2. i booted and logged in normally : 24 secs
3. I created new standard user and logged in: 21 sec.

I think your recommendation of booting safe mode first must have helped. 24 sec vs 21 secs is pretty close.

When I had LittleSnitch installed I did not notice a particular long log in.

Can you tell me what might have been the issue?

thanks !
