iPhone 8/Plus Slow Photo’s transfer to MacBook

Why does your photos you take on your phone take so long to upload to your matchbook laptop ? I have my photos in my settings in phone turned on to iCloud

Can you provide some timed measurement so that people don’t have to guess what you mean by so long?

I took it on my iPhone it was on my iPhone but within minutes it still was not on my MacBook and I had to email it to my self to add to my photos so quite a long tome

Maybe it’s just uploading when on Wifi or at certain battery levels it pauses.

If you use iCloud photos you can also see at the bottom of the iOS Photos app if it’s currently pausing an upload.

Btw: for quick transfers to another Mac you can try AirDrop too.
