I am running Yosemite 10.10 and I have noticed my safari is running a lot slower when loading webpages compared to Mavericks. Anyone else experiencing this or have solutions to fix the problem.

I am running adblock as an extension but it makes no difference turning that on or off.

Solutions or fixes?

Slower in Yosemite and sometimes pages won't load at all. A second try so far always works.

Not specific to Yosemite

Sorry, I had to put that because there's always someone who writes this stupid remark to Yosemite problems and there are LOADS of problems with Yosemite.

YES! Safari is Slower. Try swiping back with your magic pad and it takes a second or two to reload the last page you visited - never took this long in Mavericks!!!

Safari is so SLOW to wake now that it is faster to Force Quit Safari and restart it.

Apple have messed up my Mac with this badly tested Yosemite Dross.

Wish I'd never downloaded it.

Thanks for starting this thread...

It's amazing how these OS's vary. I have the same experience. My Safari and entire MBP was much slower on Mavericks. With Yosemite it is running like a new mac, including Safari.

Apple always touts Safari's 6x the speed of all other browsers, but in real life Safari always seems to hang for me. I still use it, but it's not as amazing as Apple claims.

Has to be something else. My system/Safari is running very fast from doing a clean install and slow input of my programs, no time machine or other back up.
