Ok, so I'm really scratching my head here. I'm yet another first time Mac buyer (used PCs for nearly two decades, server admin, but also web designer and photographer) and I've been reading this forum a lot.
Since I placed my order on Monday evening, I've watched other people order and receive their Macbooks, yet mine isn't due on my doorstep until this coming Tuesday...8 days from when I ordered it. And I paid extra for 2 day shipping.
The only guess I have is that either the matte screen or the hard drive I chose caused the delay. *shrug* It's really frustrating though. Some here ordered there's on Tuesday, the day after me, and had it within two days...
