Slow Sync - iPhone

Is it just me or does it take forever to sync contacts, bookmarks, and email accounts on the iPhone 3G. I found this to be true on the 3G and 3GS. Anyone else having this issue?

The first sync with any firmware upgrade does take a long time, because it has to backup everything. But after than it should be much faster as it only has to backup new data.

It's everytime I sync. It's ok if I am just syncing apps, movies, pictures, music....but if I try to do a full sync then it's real slow on the calendars, notes, bookmarks, mail, contacts.

Taking about 15 - 20 minutes to sync the items I previously mentioned.
