I enabled file sharing between my two Mac. One is connected to my WiFi router via LAN connection. The other via Airport Extreme. I tried to transfer a file from the LAN connected Mac to the Airport connected Mac. My transfer only got up to 2M? Anyone know what could be the problem.

The MAX theoretical speed you could get is ~6MB/second.. and typically, you'll only get 1/3 to 1/2 of that speed.
Which (could) would come out to about 2MB/second. If you need it to be faster, hook up with 2 cat-5s to the router, or FW target mode.

2MB per second is exactly what i get took just over a minute for a 125MB file to transfer

Thanks for the info. I don't really need for it to be faster, I just wanted to make sure it was the speed it was suppose to be.
