slow transitions and effects on 22" LCD

so i got this nice shiny new 22" LCD 1650x1050 that im using as the primary display on my MBP but the visual effects are really slooooowwwww, the windows drag choppy, minimizing genie effect is really choppy, whats the deal? I thought MPBs could push a 30" ACD???

btw its using the internal LCD as the secondary display, its not mirrored

What display? Knowing that will help. It could be rate at which your screen renders.

its an envision running over DVI, but i dont know what the model number is off hand

You are not alone.

I am experiencing the same on the 30" Dell 3007WFP display. Really poor performance.
