Hi there. I have an iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, 2017), 3.4 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i5.

Recently got a symmetrical internet connection of 300Mbps/300Mbps

Over wifi I'm getting around 150Mbps download on my mac but only around 10Mbps upload.

Using ethernet cable, I get 300/300. I also get decent upload speeds when doing speed tests on my iPhone 6s and Ipad Air

Can anyone point me towards any kind of solution or advice? I'll probably end up trying to run a cable to the iMac, but I wouldn't mind getting to the bottom of it nonetheless.

I had very slow connection speeds on my iMac and I was having 1.2 GPS on my MacBook Pro. Upon reading some of the forums on MacRumor I made the following changes. I went to Settings and selected Network-Advanced-Hardware and made the following changes. set Configure to Manually-Speed at 1000baseT-Duplex to full-duplex and MTU changed to Jumbo (9000) and de-selected Limit IP address Tracking on the first page of the Network settings. My connection changed from 75-89 MPS to 1.1 to 1.4 GPS and my upload speed is 990- 1.4 GPS. I have up-to 1 G of internet speeds and now far exceeding it.....I have 3.2 GHz 6-Core Intel Core i7 Processor, mid-2019. When contacting Apple they thought there was a problem with macOS Monterey and suggested I re-install, which I did without any success. The issue was resolved with the changes I have stated here.
