In the past few weeks, my wireless web surfing experience has been getting slower and slower. My connection sometimes seems to grind to a halt. It isn't just my home network, but office, and various coffeeshop and public networks.
Meanwhile, my girlfriend seems to have no problems with my older Powerbook.

What is causing this? Is there an update at fault? Could it be an adware problem?
 
MBP's have wireless issues.The wifi antenna is inside an aluminum case.Design flaw.
That doesn't answer his question, nor does it contribute anything whatsoever to the thread. To the OP: I doubt it is anything hardware-related. I would try the basics first: Repair permissions and delete keychain entries for wifi networks. See if that helps at all.
