I own 3 Macs (2018 MBPro (Touch Bar), 2020 MacBook Air (intel) and 2015 MacBook) and I have noticed a slowdown on each one of therm after installing Big Sur, especially on the 2015 MacBook and (surprisingly) the 2018 MacBook Pro. Anyone else noticed a slowdown?

How long ago did you install or upgrade Big Sur? It takes a day or so to settle. On both my laptops (one from 2013 one from 2020) Big Sur is faster than Catalina.

2015 Macbook, clean install. My machine feels faster. Leave the machine running overnight to let Apple Photos, messages, iCloud, spotlight, mail etc. do their indexing and sync.

I install it yesterday, clean install. Maybe I should give it some time to complete the background tasks such as indexing etc. (I didn’t thought about this actually...).

So, the computers are slower then before and waiting for indexing etc. didn't helped. I hope Apple will address this in the next update...
