We just left a small AT&T store and were shutout. They only had 30 to start with and we had numbers 29 and 30. All they had left were 4s by the time we got there.

Now its off to Orlando to see what I can do there.

Apparently the store I went to in Miami is also a "small store". 20 8GB and X 4GB phones.

Apple and AT&T Totally screwed the pooch on this one.

Why close the store and make a big deal about 30 phones? Why let people line up 100 deep for nothing?

Apple gets a black eye for this one.

On to tomorrow.

Hey, I was #15 in line at my at&T store and they only had the 4GB models left. I took it, but still...

NO Iphones in some places in Mass.

I was Number 1 in the AT&T store near me, and they got NONE. the AT&T's web site lists them as a store for the iPhone, but the manager said they didn't get them in western Mass, because of some shipping mistake. That the "flagship" stores only got 10.

hahaha that sucks... What store?

I'm in Columbus, Mississippi, a small town of 25,000. There are towns of 10k and 18k within twenty miles of us. I arrived 40 minutes before opening and there were 10 people ahead of me. They let in six customers at a time (with family members, if they were there). I was in at 6:15 and out at 6:30. The manager wouldn't say how many iPhones they had. She said there was a representative (from Apple? AT&T?) in the back doling them out and wouldn't let them know how many there were.

The rep waiting on me was surprised how easy the customers were on the sale. Heck yeah! We've done our homework, just give us the machines! Received in a sealed bag. Now awaiting activation like so many others.

I was just informed that my store got 10 of each model in, what a joke...My at&t store was the only one in the "tri-cities" (MI, not Washington)...so of approx. 120k people....20 phones....

Well, went to an Apple Store and they were STOCKED to the gills. Got my phone now, syncing :[

My local store received 10 8GB and 10 4GB - i was #26 in line. We have two stores in a community with a population of 250,000. No idea what the other store received. They tried to make us feel good that we could place an order that would be fulfilled via direct fulfillment. Unbelievable - all this hype and only 20 phone. I will be driving 2 hours to an Apple store Saturday morning.
