How do I change my small battery icon on the springboard? All I can find through Cydia is the large charging battery.

There are litterly dozens of battery mods.
Did you look in Themes (Battery) ?
Are you talking about center of home scrren or upper right corner ?
There are lots of mods for both.
BigBoss prefs has a percentage mod for battery icon in upper right corner.

I was looking for the % battery and I found it via BigBoss. I appreciate the help. Now how do I get the weather and stuff on the lock screen?

By the looks of it, it seems he is using IntelliScreen which is in Cydia. Free for like 10 days I think and then they charge afterwards.
