small .mac/mail problem

I have a small problem with .mac, when i send an emaill using mail my correct name is sent but when i use mac.com and send it via the web browser it uses another name, how can i change it?

But what name is it tagging to the email? Is it a name or is it your .mac username, or is it your email address. Because your name is being tagged to your email due to Mail tagging it into the email for you. As for what .mac has, or even the person you're sending it too, might have a different name for you.

When i use mail app it uses my name when i use ,.mail it uses my friends name for some reason.

Dive in to the mail preferences on the .Mac website... you can change your "From" name there.

From the .Mac mail page, click the Preferences button (its next to the logout button). Click the middle tab (Composing). You'll be able to change your "From" name at the bottom right corner.
