Smaller picture on iPhone

How do you get the picture to be the same size and location on the iphone when someone calls.

I have pictures associated with contacts but it takes the whole screen and right in the center... not located in the top right corner like in this picture form Apple.

How do you get iPhone to do this?

instead of taking a picture of the person with the phone, upload the the picture to your phone from your computer

I'm not sure how to do it on Windows, but with a Mac if you have a picture of the contact stored in Address Book it will use that as the small pic and keep your wallpaper as the big background.
