I have never played much with iPhoto but recently got a camera and have been experimenting some. I named and added photos to Faces and then created a Smart Album based on one of these Faces. The Smart Album transfered fine to the iPad and I can see the contents of the album. However, when I select the Smart Album as the only source in Picture Frame the iPad instead displays ALL of my photos as if I have not selected anything at all. I also selected the Smart Album and one other album, and the only pictures that were displayed were the other album. Is this a known shortcoming of the Picture Frame mode? Has anybody else noticed this?

My smart albums are working. (I have most of my 40,000+ pictures in smart albums.)

The Settings are somewhat tricky though. It's easy to accidently select multiple items.

The settings I'm using are:
Origami: /
Shuffle: [ON]
Albums: /
Japan 2009 Best Pics: /

(Japan 2009 Best Pics is a smart album checking for date range, and rating > 2 star)
