I'm wondering if there is already a solution out there for automatic login to the Mac mini dependent on alternative methods of logging in.
The goal here is an automatic login method that will execute only when I'm home where my Mac mini is. So when I'm away, the Mac mini is locked and when I come home the Mac mini will automatically login to my user account and thus be unlocked. I have come up with a number of possible ways to accomplish this. I am requesting for feedback on which of these methods is a working solution that exists and which are not.
1. Since I have my iPhone within close proximity to me always, how about someway for the Mac mini to sense when the iPhone is close by. When the iPhone is nearby, the Mac mini stays logged in. When the iPhone is away, the Mac mini stays logged out.
2. Using the fingerprint scanner of the iPhone, use this method to invoke automatic login to the Mac mini.
3. A camera with face detection capability that will detect my face when I'm in the same room as the Mac mini and thus keep the Mac mini logged in.
Thank You
