Okay, I found this one a bit strange.

I've been trying to use the group id3 field in iTunes to create some sub-groupings on my music. e.g. any songs that would fit for a candlelit night I've added "Romantic" into the group field.

In iTunes I can create a smart playlist on that group field with no problems. The songs show up on the list, and play great.

But, when I sync to my iPod, the playlist shows up but there are no songs in it! This has happened with 2 playlists created on the group field.

iTunes 4.1
iPod 3G, firmware 2.1

Has anyone else seen this? Any workaround found (other than having to trash my genre settings)

Bump.

Can someone confirm that they have seen the same behaviour (or not).

Then I can at least be certain I just have to wait for a 2.2. firmware that fixes this and the battery meter issues.
