I had to go in Best Buy today and I saw a couple demo speakers and some of them sound pretty good. There was a JBL setup with three speakers and the one at 199 was great and they all have Google Assistant. I also heard three Sonos speakers, one for 129, 199 and 499. I havent heard the Homepod or the Google Max but the Sonos that was 499 was very loud. Also I dont know how good it sounds but at Wal-Mart all across the country you can get an Altec Lansing Google Assistant speaker on clearance for as low as 21 bucks
