SmartDrive Not Recognized Late '15 iMac

So everything I see tends to show that El Capitan doesn't like the SmartDrive.

I have reset PRAM, SMC, hard restart...everything.

It'll recognize a CD or DVD is in there with material. But if I want to burn something...nothing. If I plug into my other computer with Yosemite, works perfect.

Any other USB plugged into iMac works fine. From what I see it's an issue with El Capitan. So, anyone have an easy work around? Or do you have experience with any other burners out there that work and play nicely with the iMac '15s?
