Have you ever been listening to a new album or playlist that is explicit, then have to switch the music to drive the kids somewhere, or you want more romantic music while going out on a date, or w/e. Then when you get back to driving by yourself the next time you’ve lost your place on the new playlist? And/or shuffle keeps playing songs you’ve already heard and you have to keep skipping because you had to restart the playlist?

I find these situations frustrating. Not a single music app that I’m aware of can remember multiple playlists and where you are on each of them. But it’s a feature I wish existed. I’d like to be able to stop mid-song in a playlist, switch to another playlist, then switch back and be right where I left off. With Apple Music if I want to try a station, it forgets my playlist too.

Anybody else have similar frustrations?

Yes! Came to post the exact same complaint and wish for an app to handle this.

Essentially, I think what would work for me is to be able to have Apple Music treat a playlist like a podcast. Or a third party app that reads your playlists and controls Apple Music. ( so it feels like the podcasts my DJ friends make cover art and track details listed.)

Playlist+podcast = playcast/listcast or whatever someone wants to name it.

That would definitely be a nice toggle to have, especially for shuffled playlists.
