So my partner just dropped my 10.5" iPad Pro and smashed the entire screen and front.

I don't have Apple Care, but I did buy the iPad new in January from PCWorld in the UK.

How much do you think it'd cost to fix - or it possible to buy AppleCare now have it fixed cheaper?

To make things even more awkward I'm currently in Australia until November. Is AppleCare only for the purchased country or worldwide?

What would be the best and cheapest solution?

First, you can no longer purchase Apple Care so that's not an option. The cost to replace the screen in the US is $449.00. You can change that to £. That repair/replace cost is if Apple does it. You may be able to get it done for less by a third party repair service.

Do you have contents insurance? Many policies allow for accidental damage, and some out of the house, so may be covered if it happened in Australia.

Also check your credit cards. Some offer contents insurance as part of their benefits.

Now that's a good idea, I'm pretty sure my house insurance covers things like that. My partner actually claimed her broken phone at her grandmothers house lol. Thanks!
