Smb / Windows File Share App

Hi,

Do you know an application for iOS which allows me to configure Samba Shares (Windows File Shares) and access the files in other applications (such as Pages etc.) through the Document Picker?

Right know I have Readles Documents App and it does not expose contents of network shares to other applications in iOS.

I know two apps who have the functionality you want (I want it too and I found these apps last year):

• Transmit has this functionality for WebDav, SFTP and others, but alas not for SMB.
• iFiles 2 had this for SMB, but it is not working for months. I reported it to the developer twice but it is not fixed yet.

I accidently found another app: File Explorer Pro (by Skyjos). Its releasenotes says it can open files from other apps from network shares. It also supports SMB. I don't have this app myself so I am not sure it has all the functionality but it seems so.
(This feature was added in the app in January 2017, so after I did my search)

Good to hear! I think I will try this app myself too.
Does it work with all apps? (I ask this because in the releasenotes only MS Office and iWorks are mentioned, but I think it will work for all apps)

So far it does work in every app which implemented the Document Provider Extension. I tested it in Textastic and Pages so far. Works. Should work everywhere.
