Have this update made your MBP run at more normal temps? Cooler than the PB? Just like the PB? Or still hotter tha the PB?

Thanks,

Roco

Mine is now much, but much cooler.

It normally was at 45-50 C, now at normal use it stays at 40C or even lower. This is when running iTunes, MS Office and viewing photos.

I can say now that I have the best laptop in the world. Mine has no whine or any other kind of noise, nor any dead pixels, so it's perfect. Thanks Apple.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but what I've read that the SMC update apparent increases the fan rpm resulting in a cooler CPU. If that's the case, won't the fan makes a louder whirling sound....?

The fans just enter earlier. You wont hear them most of the time. And you'll have a "not-so-hot" laptop.
