Smokey pictures with flash

when i take a picture with the flash in a dark setting looks like a smoke filled room, any one with this issue?

Make sure your hand and fingers are nowhere near the LED flash or lens. Otherwise you will be reflecting light back into the lens, creating this issue.

did that work for you? (moving your fingers farther away?) there is another guy around with blue washed pics that i assumed were from the flash too. kinda a camera 101 thing but weird on the iphone due to the flush location
