iPhone SMS Bubble Color Change

This has been driving me nuts and I cannot find a solution. Hoping one of you can assist me.

Using the licensed version of iFile, I'm under /System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/Chatkit.framework and my bubble images are not appearing, so I'm not able to change the color. I don't have a third-party messaging app. Any ideas?
