Hey iPhone masters,
I have an issue, it's a little complicated, and here it is.
My phone has an SMS conversation on it that could potentially prove my boyfriend's innocence in an academic situation.
He's been borrowing it to show various teachers and administrators, and leaving me with his (completely ******) Verizon phone.
Yesterday, I lost that ****** phone, and despite looking everywhere for it, it appears to be long gone.
So, I had the thought- I've been wanting the upgrade anyway, what if instead of buying him another ****** Verizon phone, I gave him my old one (with SMS info) and got a new one for myself. Potentially altruistic and not just selfish if my old phone could retain those sensitive SMS messages!
However, is that possible? So here are my questions.
I'm assuming the phone would need to be jailbroken for him to use his Verizon sim card, so if that were the case, would the SMS conversation remain on the phone?
Is there a way to make sure that it does?
Is there a possibility that by messing around with sim cards and all that, I might accidentally deleted those SMS forever?
Does this make any sense?
Thank you so much in advance for your help!
