SMS from android to iPhone

Hey guys I have a question, maybe you can help. I went from an android to iphone recently, so I transferred all my information using Dr.Fone application. All fine, but even if I checked to transfer my sms messages, now all I can see in my threads are dates and hours, not the actual messages. Is there a way to fix this? Or should I get some android phone , restore my messages there, and do the Dr. Fone "trick" all over again (just for sms of course) ? (I have to clarify that I did the first transfer to an 11 Pro and then backed up the 11 pro to Cloud and got an 11 Pro Max and restored all info to it).

Depends. If you have the android and any spare iOS device, I would move the messages with "Move to iOS" from PlayStore, then sync messages to the Max via iCloud sync for messages.

Thats the problem, that I dont have the android anymore, I sold it.

Not much you can do then I guess... Is there an option to browse the backup in your version of Dr. Fone? Do you see messages there? Also check if you can see them with iMazing trial.

Same issue here. Just left my beloved BlackBerry (after many, many years) and got the new SE. I bought the phone unlocked from Apple and took to Verizon. The rep said they could transfer the contacts (it did) and my photos (mostly), but no texts.

Are there any options to bring my many, many years of texts to my shiny, new iPhone? If I back up the iPhone to icloud, setup as new, import old texts from Android.... Then restore from icloud.... would that combine the old and new texts?
