How to I send/receive SMS messages in Yosemite? In the messages app, I don't see a place to create an SMS account. I attempted to send some green messages. I saw the words "Text Message" in the box where I put my text before I typed my message, but the message never sent. The name of the person never showed in my conversation list (only their phone number remained), and the message actually never sent.

I heard a rumor that I need my iPhone on the same network as my computer. Do I have to do anything else to link them together? Is this a me problem or a Yosemite Beta problem

And Yes, I understand I am using the Beta version and not the final bug-free release of Yosemite.

You need to have iOS8 on your iPhone and for your phone to be connected either by bluetooth or Wifi to your Mac running Yosemite. I've not set it up before, but I'm pretty sure you need at least those prerequisites.

So I need to wait until iOS 8 is released, since I can't get a beta version. Thank's for the reply.
