Howdy Partners!

Is it true you can send SMS messages from your Mac, via the Add. Book and Bluetooth or something?

I may be totally wrong, but as someone who has had bluetooth phones for 3+ years and BT-enabled Macs' for at least 2.. I'm in a :) state!

Yes it's one of those things that simply works on OS X. Just open up Address Book and click on the last icon in the toolbar to connect to your phone. Then click on the label next to the number that you want to send a message to. You should get a menu with the SMS option.

What numbers? There isn't any?

The only people on the address book list are me and Apple Computer.

You'll need to add your contacts, just iSync your phone and address book.

Once you've got a contact do as above and you'll be able to type SMS messages on you're keyboard. Incoming messages from contacts will open in a window on your Mac and the messages can be saved to the notes field in your contact.

My iMac says it can't sync with my Chocolate phone.

Its the LG KG800 'Chocolate' if anyone wants to help, lol...

You need to have contacts on your Mac, if they have a mobile number right click and you can send an SMS, you can get your mobile numbers onto your Mac with iSync if you have a Motorola, Nokia or Sony Erricson phone (among others), it's a really cool feature, I didn't know about until today!

EDIT I don't know about LG phones tbh...

I have the LG Chocolate phone. :(

It says it can't Sync with it - eventhough the BT file trans. and Ad. Book works fine :(
