iPhone 8/Plus Sms Notification

My friends.
I have a new iPhone and set it up using iTunes but for an unknown reason I get a new sms sound without a new sms. Please how do I fix this and thanks.

Try going to settings and tap on reset all settings. If that doesn't work, you may need to set up the phone as new. If you set up the new phone from a backup, there could be a software bug from backup that is causing the problem.

Check the Repeat Alerts setting in the Messages app. You may be getting notification sounds for previously received messages.
