I'd like for the SMS app to require a password upon opening it. Is there an app for this? I'm not a fan of entering my password every time I go into my phone, and this doesn't prevent people who request to use/play with my phone from looking at them. Is there anything out there that can do this? I need it pretty badly. Thanks in advance.

If you're jailbroken you can use biteSMS which has in-built password protection.

Or you can use iProtect and then select to lock the SMS app.

Use Madvlock!!!! Its a very nice and useful app. It allows you to add passwords to any applications you want and you can encrypt and hide any file on your phone also:) Its on Cydia
