Hi
I can't send SMS messages ! The blue "Send" button doesn't work ! All the other buttons (QWERTY board, To: etc) are fine.

Anyone seen this problem ?

Running 2.0.1 on 3G.

Regards and thanks in advance.

John

I have the same problem on an original iPhone with 2.1. When I press "Send," nothing happens. Sometimes it types an "o" or "p," but it never sends. This started happening last week. I have had the phone for over a year. The touch screen is not broken because that area works in other apps. Anyone know how to fix this?

I've noticed that it won't send sometimes when I hit the button. It's a bug, nothing we can do to fix it but let Apple know.

Actually, I have to amend my previous post about everything else still working. It seems as if my touch screen has been split down the middle into two squares and that the area in between the two (where the Send button is) is unresponsive. I notice issues when scrolling through emails or songs. Also, I cannot pause a video in YouTube. Also in YouTube, I cannot scroll the process bar or volume past about 45% on the low end and about 55% on the high end. For example, if I am at 60% and I want to go back to 40%, I have to press 'last track' do go to the beginning on the video and then scroll forward. If I were to scroll backwards from 60 to 40, it would stop at 55%. If I wanted to go to anywhere in between 45 and 55, I would have to go to 45 and watch it all from there. It is quite annoying. Does anyone else see anything like this?

After 30 seconds in the Apple store explaining my problem the genius guy gave me a new one. It sounds to me that you have a hardware problem and would need a new phone.

Good luck.
