You have to have iOS 8.1 installed along with Yosemite GM 1.0 I don't know if PB 4 has the ability, as I am not using it. The PB and GM 1.0 are different builds.

iOS 8.1 (beta) is needed for sms to work.

Started working when I updated my 6+ to 8.1 beta. There is a section and prompt. Then you enter the codes displayed on each screen.

It has a text forwarding section under messages when you get your phone on 8.1 Beta.
