Hey guys,

I have 1.1.4 which has been un-jailed and restored quite a number of times since purchased a few weeks after initial release of the iPhone. Restoring unfortunately is not fixing the problem, SMS taking forever to load up, because I believe it is restoring all the junk left over from 3rd party app's. How do I wipe clean and restore with a virgin 1.1.4 OS? Or should I jailbreak and delete certain files? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

How long are the logs? Longer logs take longer to load. I have about 4000 messages to one number, and that takes about 4-5 seconds to load, but the numbers with a dozen or so messages take less than a second to load.

Thanks for the logs idea but I delete all the text logs often. Right now with zero text it is the only laggy app. When I say slow I mean slower then it should and use to be. I do remember others having this problem back in the day but the only resolution was to restore. I am just confused why restore does not wipe clean and virginize the OS. This is retarded and there seems to be no real way I have found to virginize 1.1.4

i have a similar issue and havent found a fix either. the phone used to work fine, I am not sure when it got slower, i just noticed it one day and have been dealing with it ever since
