I am having trouble with SMS Themes in Winterboard...I download them but they do not change anything in my SMS..background or bubbles...I am running 3.0..

Any thoughts?

Are you enabling them in Winterboard? Open the Winterboard app and checkmark (put your finger on) the theme you'd like to activate, hit the home button and it will respring, hopefully activating your theme.

If you are doing that and it still doesn't work, my only other guess is that the theme you're trying to use isn't updated for 3.0 yet.

This.

Sms

That is what it must be...I am enabling them with a checkmark...They must not be ready for 3.0 yet...Thanks...

Because everything else I check works fine...backgrounds, battery....

Some are updated, some aren't...

It's killing me that 5 Icon Dock and FiveIRow aren't working together, it's killing my desired theme (which needs both)... Hopefully the codewriters for these themes get around to updating them for 3.0 soon

The reason your themes aren't working with the text program is because Apple changed the name of the app from SMS to Messages.

If you have any SSH experience you can go into the file system and change it up for them.

If you want to update text message bubbles, they are now located in:

/System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/ChatKit.framework

Other files are in there as well, just make a backup of any/everything you replace. You can also make a folder in Winterboard...which I believe would be com.apple.Chatkit.framework (or something like that, i am not entirely sure) if you don't want to replace files directly.

I have 5 icon dock working fine.

5 icon dock works fine. I had to restart to get it to work, so that might be it.

The 5 icon is working for me too

I believe Astin is saying that s/he can't get both 5 Icon Dock and Five Row to work together at the same time.
