I know BiteSMS used to do this, but is there a tweak for iOS 8 that makes it so that whenever you open the messaging app, it starts with the list of messages rather than the last person you were texting with?

I think biteSMS had that feature in iOS 6, I don't think it was included in iOS 7

For iOS 7, I used a tweak called MessagePopper to do this. The description says "only tested on iOS 7, but should be compatible with later versions as well" so you can always give it a try and if it doesn't work, uninstall the tweak

Sweet, thanks! Just tried it and it seems to work with 8.1. Hopefully no crashes!
