I just unboxed my brand new MacBook Pro 14” M2 Pro (silver) and it has smudges on the Apple Logo!

Did you also have smudges on the Apple Logo out of the box on your MacBooks Pro M2 Pro?

When I first unboxed my 2017 MBP 15 Space Gray, it didn’t have any smudges on the logo, and it had this “brand new” smell, while this one does not smell at all “brand new”.

What is your experience?

The parchment paper Apple has been using with the new body styles have some type of light adhesive directly on the logo for some reason. My MBP wasn't too bad but my MBA had all kinds of weird stuff on it that I actually had to clean and those were both day 1 products.

Thank you for the information!
I was initially afraid that maybe my MBP didn’t pass some quality control and they had to open it to fix something, and then had to clean it, which caused these spots or something like this.

You can check if the laptop is previously used or something. Have a look at the battery charge cycle.
