Can someone tell me if Sn0wbreeze 2.4b1 iOS 4.3.1 for iphone4 its any good? im new with jailbreaking and really want to jailbreak my iphone4. i dont care if its a thether version. Thank you guys!!0

Yes, I just jailbroke with it earlier today, so far it's working fine...first time tethered, because my phone got stolen and had to get a new one....some apps don't seem to work...like FolderEnhancer and infinidock...

i tried it few days ago, and my settings page was blank, and i hadt to restart the iphone through terminal command. the next boot was ok, and then i installed cydia essentials upgrade, it told me to reboot thr phone, yet another terminal command on mac to boot the iphone again. it is really a hassle really for me, i'd better wait for the untethered jb since it's coming soon enough because i heard good news from
musclenerd on twitter.

I tried it. Custom IPSW created fine. Installed fine. Restore went fine. Went into Cydia, it asked to make updates. I chose "complete update" and when it rebooted it got hung on Apple logo. Then it made it to the USB/iTunes logo but wouldn't restore. Took a long time and a lot of trial and error and probably some luck to finally get it into a proper DFU state where I could Restore to a Sn0wbreeze'd 4.2.1

I will just say it's not the best rated jb tool out there. known for being buggy. Not used allot in this forum. PwnageTool and Redsn0w are much preferred.

this is because you have to use ibooty to boot up the phone everytime shuts off. After cydia updates it reboots so use ibooty.

Works fine for me, I also find i'm getting much better battery life although I too would prefer to use untethered but I can cope right now.

The level of the baseband has nothing to do with whether or not it can be jailbroken.

ultrasn0w is NOT compatible with the folllowing basebands! (02.10.04 / 03.10.01 / 04.10.01 / 05.14.02 / 05.15.04)

That says that Sn0wbreeze is not compatible with my current baseband.

Ultrasn0w is for unlocking, not jailbreaking.

This.

I used sn0wbreeze on baseband 03.10.01, and pretty much everything is working well--I'm not concerned about an unlock.

The only issue I've run into is when answering a call: there are shadows of the answer/decline buttons behind the buttons, and to answer, I have to kind of swipe the answer button rather than press it. I'm assuming this glitch is due to the JB, but not certain. Regardless, I'm doing OK with this tethered JB.
